Create the form for your registration page
After you have created your event and you have created your registration page, you can decide what you want to ask on the registration page which the invitees need to fill in.
(Click on the following links to go to these separate articles for more details: “Event data & information" and "Registration page").
As mentioned above you can decide which questions you will ask on the registration page. This usually depends on the amount of information you need from your invitees. In this article, we will talk about the different possibilities.
- With the "Registration page fields", you build your fully personalized registration form.
- With the “sliders” you decide if you want to show the question or not. You can choose to show a question for the main guest (invitee) only, for the extra guests only, or for both.
- With the “checkbox” next to the sliders, you make a question mandatory. Again you have the column for the main invitee and the column for your extra guests.
- You can also easily add questions. "The fixed questions" (e.g. telephone number, company name, etc.) are already prefilled for your invitee when you invite them by e-mail.
- You can also add your own questions. You have several possibilities:
- You can also add "Custom fields" as a question.
(Click on the following link to go to this separate article for more details: “Custom contact fields"). - You can also add a "Textblock" if you for example would like to explain something between specific questions.
- It is possible to "route your questions individually" and you can also "route your questions on venue and date". The routing on venue and date option will be available at the top if you have more than 1 venue in the setup of your event. In the example below, we used a routing where the fourth question will only appear on the registration page if an invitee has answered "Yes" to the third question:
If an invitee answers "No" to the third question above, they will not see the fourth question.
If you have more than 1 venue, you will notice that an additional option will be available: "Routing on venue and date":Per venue, you can then decide which questions will be visible. An example below:
- We also offer some extra possibilities to tailor the questions on your registration page. When you look at your questions, you will also see the following symbols:
- With the arrows, you can change the order of your questions.
- With the trashcan, you can delete the specific question.
- With the pencil, you can, in addition to the possibilities mentioned earlier in this article, do extra changes to your question:
- "Max entries": you could define a maximum number of responses in total per answer: very handy if e.g. you have breakout sessions with limited capacity.
- "Timeslots": you can add timeslots to your question.
- "Display style": you can change how the options of your questions will be visualized. In "Buttons" or as a "Dropdown".
- "Ticket access rights", you can automatically create a QR ticket for this answer.
(Click on the following link to go to this separate article for more details: “Ticket (Venue or specific access right)").
Tip:
- If you are creating a complex registration page, save your progress and go test it out yourself by going to your own registration page. If you see you have made mistakes, you can always come back to make small adjustments until you are satisfied.
- You can add up to 500 questions on your registration page and a question can contain up to 50 options.
