Lists contain all contacts that match specific criteria. These lists will give you access with one click to the most up-to-date list of contacts matching predefined criteria, and/or allow you to limit the invitees to a target group for a specific event – this way no other invitees can be added. In this article, we will talk about saving a new private list or updating a private list.
You will see that the public and private lists will be visible on top of the page. Clicking a specific list will activate the filters and in the "contacts" section, you will see your list of contacts matching the criteria of the list you have selected. Below is an example:
If you have uploaded or added several contacts that match those criteria, select the list and click on "Update list". Then this list will be updated as you can see below:
If you want to see all your contacts again, you can click on "clear" to deselect the list:
To create a new list, you define your filters/criteria and click on "Save as new list":
You will then see the following screen:
- Name: here you can give your list a name.
- Owner: here you can define the owner of the list.
- List folder: here you can define if this list is a public list or a private list. For this list, we pick "My lists".
Click on "Save" and your list will be created.
Tips:
- Clicking on the icons next to the name of a contact, for example, the delete button, will make that contact disappear entirely from the address book. That is because the general rules of the address book apply here when editing or performing a specific action for a contact. Only update your list or add new criteria to adjust your selected list.
- You can add invitees to the invitation list of an event by selecting a specific list, public or private list, while adding invitees from the address book.
