In this article, we will talk about adding/editing a (new) design template with advanced template features.
To create a new one, click on the “+” on the right-hand side.
When you have clicked on the “+” on the right-hand side to create a new design template, you will get the following steps:
Step 1 - General: name* and margin colors**
*Choose a name for your template (mandatory). Write a description and add tags (not mandatory). If you have custom domains, you will have the possibility to choose a custom domain. (Click on the following link to go to this separate article for more details: “Custom domains"). If a custom domain is selected, every event using this design template will now make use of your custom domain. This means that your custom domain will be used for every link in the emails of your events, that uses this specific template.
**The maximum width of a page is set at 1,600 pixels. Larger screens will display margins on the left and right. The background color defines the color of these margins. The text color defines the text that could appear in these margins, such as the 'log out' link on the registration page. The border color defines the color of the line between the page and the margin. You can select your color in Hex, RGB or HSL.
Step 2 - Header: language, logo* and text**
*You can upload a different image for every selected language or use it for all languages. You can set a background color behind the image, choose the aligment of the image (left, center or right) and set the height for the logo. You can add padding between the image and the background edges (left, right, top and bottom). You can also choose to enable full width if you want the image to cover the full header width. The recommended size for a full-width image is 1200px in width and 150px in height. Filesize can be max 2MB and jpeg, jpg and png are possible.
If you want your logo to stay visible on top of the screen when you scroll down the page or mail, you can activate the fixed position slider. If you want your logo to also stay in front of the content while scrolling down, you can activate the keep in front slider.
**You can add a different text for every selected language. You can set a background color behind the text and add padding between the text and the background edges (left, right, top and bottom).
Step 3 - Banner: language, colors, banner for webpages and banner for emails

As a banner for webpages you can upload an image, animated image or video. As a banner for email you can upload an image or animated image. This banner will be the default one to use in your communication. It can be changed on event level. Filesize can be max 2MB. Recommended width is 1200px and 400px in height.
Step 4 - Content: Formatting

You can choose the width and the alignment of the content (left, center or right), you can add margin (top, bottom and side), add a border and choose the border color, width and the roundness of the corners.

You can choose the background color and text color of the titles and body text and choose a font family for both.
Step 5 - Buttons: language, style*, colors**, labels***
*You can determine a fixed width for the buttons or choose to stretch them to full width. You can choose the font family for the button text, the roundness of the corners and the aligment of the button (left, center or right).
