Address book
With InviteDesk you will have access to an address book that will store your users and also all your contacts that were invited to an event or sent a mail by using a mailing campaign in InviteDesk.
You can find the address book on the left-hand side:
First, you will see "Public lists" and "My lists" at the top. We will talk about these in other articles.

In this article, we will talk about the several filters you can apply and which actions you can perform in the "Contacts" section of the address book.
Filters
By clicking on "+ add filter", you can add a new filter and by clicking the trashcan icon on the right-hand side of the filter, you can delete that filter. You can apply the following filters:
- Filter on several fields and choose "AND" / "OR" / "NOT": by default, you will have "OR" and "Free text" activated. You will have the following possibilities:
- Contact properties:
- Free text: here you can search by name, email, job title and company.
- Owner: here you can filter on users who are account owners for specific contacts.
- Contact type: here you can filter on employees or business relations.
- Contact status: here you can filter on active or inactive contacts.
- City: here you can search for the city of your contact.
- Language: here you can filter on a specific language.
- Sms permission: here you can filter on contacts who have or don't have SMS permission.
- Tags: here you can filter on tags.

- Custom fields: you can search on custom fields if you have created this.

- Event
- Mailing campaign
- *You can add extra permissions if needed.

- Events:
- Invited for event
- Attended event
- Registered
- Declined / Expired
- Last activity:
- Invited From-To
- Attended From-To
- Registered From-To
- No show From-To
- Contact properties:
By clicking on "Save as new list", you can create a new list.

Actions
On the right-hand side of the contacts section in the address book, you will see the following icons:
- View activities: by clicking the clock icon, you can view the activities of users in the system. This is only visible for admin users. Please contact your contact at InviteDesk for more details.
- Export contacts: by clicking the second icon, you can export your contacts into an Excel file.

(Click on the following link to go to this separate article for more details: “Import contacts (Excel)"). - Add new contact: by clicking the "+" icon, you can add a new contact.

On the right-hand side of your contacts in the address book, you will see the following icons:
- Events history: by clicking the information icon, you will be able to see the event history of your contact. You will be able to filter on the following:
- Confirmed
- Pending
- Waiting
- Declined / Expired
- Edit contact: by clicking the pencil icon, you can edit your contact.
- Disable contact/Activate contact: by clicking the icon next to the pencil, you can disable/activate your contact.
- Remove contact: by clicking the trashcan icon, you can remove the contact. This will remove the contact completely and if this contact was on an invitation list for an event, it will now be labeled as "Anonymous anonymous".
